Hello, new to AFM, just purchased 95 v6 3 months ago.
Ran fine during cooler weather.
I'll describe the problem:
Car starts to sputter then looses power then dies.
After cool down car may start then run rough at first then smooth out. If it is still hot out it will not run very long before it starts sputtering again. ETC.

Mechanic at Municipal Shop checked fuel pressure and said it is in the Ford spec range.

He claims he had a Ford Taurus w/same problem he never figured out. he tried new fuel pump & fuel filter.

I'm not in favor of changing the fuel pump unless I can prove it is bad.

first off, i dont think your problem has something to do with fuel delivery or fuel related issues, if at all. vapor lock does not cause your engine to stall while running and fuel pump is never affected by engine heat or operating temp. have your ignition system/engine electricals checked. either your coil pack or igniter is dying out.

Vapour Lock Is When Your Car Wont Start After You Just Shut It Off. because You Just Shut The Car Off And Its Still Hot Enough It turnes The Gas Into Vapour In The Fuel Line Then 2min Later When You Go To Start It *choke No Fuel gettin To The Motor.........It Shouldnt Be Happening to Your Car While Your Driving cause The Lines Are Plumed With Fuel And Getting A Steady fuel Intake.........This Being Said...It Could Still Be your Fuel System, Just Play Detictive.....Check Your Mass Air....Fuel Filter...Then Spark PLugs Etc.
