Hi everyone my name is Freddie I'm 19 years old and i just got my 2000 v6 mustang it came with flow master but i feel like its slow, every time i accelerate it doesn't pull my head back like i would like it to i don't know another way to explain it, but how could i gain more power?and what kind of intake do you recommend?
An American Muscle CAI will work just fine. Gears will give some kick back feel. 3.73's or 4.10's will do and get a tuner to recalibrate the gears and some extra performance from it too

Even with full bolt-ons you are not going to be getting the acceleration that you are wanting. Yes, with full bolt-ons the car will be much quicker but not fast.
Usually from what I have felt you do not get the enormous sense of power until you are at 320+ rwhp, at least for me anyway. At those power levels you can definitely feel the power kick in when you take off from a stop.
Most people start out with the simple bolt-ons: CAI, True dual exhaust with LT's, Under drive pulleys, rims/tires, lower the car, gears and LSD and the list can go on and on. lol
I dunno about AM's CAI but BBK's is quality stuff. I got the BBK CAI from a local retailer that had one left and wanted to get rid of it, so he gave it to me under cost.
It's great. I've had it for about 2.5 years now and the air filter still looks as good as the day I bought it. The chrome polish on the actual pipes isn't looking as good though. It's got a couple rust blemishes on it.
Does anyone know of a good way to get rust off chrome / aluminum? I have an aluminum gas cover that has 3 of the fake screws totally rusted and it looks terrible. Anyone to fix that? (don't mean to hijack thread, can pm me a response if u know)
is the American Muscle CAI as good as the BBK CAI for my V6 witch one do you recomend??
I'm sure with BBK you're paying for the name. A CAI from AM will be fine. - unless anyone else knows different - Remember you're not really going to feel almost any difference in acceleration with just a CAI. I didn't. I mean some people say they have but I haven't noticed anything. I say save up for gears. It might take a little while but it will put some pep in that horses step.

AM's CAI will work just as good as any other one. It's up to you if you want to pay more for the name or something that gets the job done like all the others for a great price.
