Well after a tiresome month and a half of my stang being in the shop, it has finally come to life! Started off with just needing a shortblock but soon it turned into rebuilding both cylinder heads as well . When it was all said and done the bill was up to $3570 . None the less, I am stoked to have my baby back ; and I can't wait to get through the 1500 mi. break in peiod so I can terrorize the streets again

Initially it was believed to have just thrown a connecting rod; but when they pulled off the heads they found water in every cylinder and a valve stem on one of the heads broke off and lodged itself in the head, thus junking the head.
I had my shortblock rebuilt, I got new valves and valve springs for both heads, I got a new head match ported to the junked one, I got ARP head bolts, and I got a new battery.

Na im still a little irritated about that. I gave my shortblock to these guys and told them that I would like to rebuild it as a 4.2L using the f-150 componets, and they told me that they would make sure everything balanced up. After a couple of weeks they call me back and tell me my shortblock is ready, but they rebuilt it as an 3.8L because they thought it wouldn't balance right. Didn't even run it by me, just decided to make the decision themselves. I would of fought it with them but at that point in time at just wanted it to run.

I have to get by the 1500 mi. break in first before I can dyno. Hopefully better numbers by then, i'll have a aluminum driveshaft and a minor change in the exhaust by then.
