Default V6 Automatic Shocks and Springs

Hey all! Quick question... possibly a dumb one too... Ok, i got 01 v6 automatic. I'v been drivin it for about a few years now and always noticed that it's not easy on the bumps on the road. Going slow is fine but, on higher speeds it just feels that its tight. I never changed them yet. Do any of you experience this or is this normal for this model? Also, i decided to push on the driver side from outside and it can wobble and is floaty... help is appreciated!

Thats just part of the mustang ride. All stangs ride rough, like most sport cars.

perform some hard braking in a safe environment and observe both front and rear ends. If either end bounces more than once, then your suspension is busted.

Well, i tried the hard braking technique... it seems fine, not bobbing like a boat so thats good! Are there any better shocks that can give me a smoother ride over bumps?

first off, understand and accept that the mustang was never designed for a limo-like ride. riding comfort and handling don't go hand in hand but there's always a middle ground. as to which brand is good or better, it depends on how much you are willing to spend and your application. bilstein and eibach are known performance parts. just remember that if you wanna improve handling, there is a compromise on comfort, and vice versa.

I can give ya some advice. I got a 2003 V6 with the automatic. I dont know what your budget is but the set up on my car rides prety good. Turns like a freight train but in a straight line its decent. I got an Eibach Pro kit for an 87 GT. (yes it fits but ya gotta fanangle it) Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable shocks in the back, Lakewood 70/30 struts, and lakewood upper and lower control arms, with Kenne Brown subframe connectors, and the bags from the Eibach Drag Launch Springs sittin tight in the back. Big bumps are a bit rough but your daily wear and tear in the usual black top is really no big deal. It also significantly dropped my ET's in the 8th mile.
