It is straightforward, but not what I'd call dead easy.
The trickiest thing (I put one on my 2002 GT) was getting the plastic cowl cover off in one piece. I failed - snapped it in 2 different places. Turns out these are fragile, so be warned (replacements cost over $100, too). Getting it back ON is equally tricky, another opportunity to break it ( I had visions of buying several of them, being a bit on the ham-handed side myself).
Drilling the holes is a bit of a chore - the metal is really thick on the strut towers where you are working, and I'd suggest starting with a smaller pilot hole and then switching over to the full size bit.
Best of luck with the project. Mine is on a convertible, and these things make a BIG difference on verts, but are excellent on coupes as well.
If you have aftermaket items on the car (CAI, intake, supercharger, etc) check for clearance BEFORE drilling holes or removing a bunch of parts.
