Default 2005 Mustang v6 help on body kit and engine sound

ok i was looking at buying a 2005 v6 and making it very loud and having a body kit on it..im not really going to tune it bcuz of insurance and my bugget...so i was searching for cool body kits when i came across the "stallion" at Mr. Bodykit (like 7/8 the way down, very long page)...but i saw that this was a dream car and very cheap..it doesnt give much info on it but i need to know what it takes to get the car to look exactly like that lol...it says that the grill comes with the bumper?...and there are 3 different kinds of this body kit...i dont want the one with the carbon fiber chin spoiler bcuz it will be just an easy thing to get ripped off going over speed bumps and such...so if anyone could give me any advice or information about this body kit and the prices for installing, painting, and purchasing then post reply

O and if anyone would rocomend a exhaust kit or headers or anything that makes the car as loud as possible and i guess rumble when it is sitting still then let me know...but unfortunetly i have a low bugget of under $4000 for this whole project besides the down payment on the car so please help me out...thanks!!! Adam

Slow down Adam. Take some deep breaths. FIrst off if you haven't shopped around yet do so. Find the best price for you and dont let the dealership push you around you have the right to walk out.

Secondly buy New I bought a 2008 GT, Sticker was $31600 I brought them down to $28200 before taxes and the BS. With a 2.9% interest rate and I'm only 20. Make sure the V6 is what you want. I started with a 2007 V6 Used base package and loved it but was still desiring the beefy V8 with all the pretty doodads :P. So i caved and traded in, on an Army pay check none the less :P

Next, The body kit. I agree with you the stallion is the most unique and awesome body kits out there but....

It needs to be painted. $799 + $500-$1000 then it needs to be installed and I am not to sure on how much that is.

Moving on to exhaust, the best id say for the V6 is the Flowmaster 40 you can even have a shop cut you some custom pipe and mount two up there. They sound great on idle and give your GF some fun in the seat next to you, but when you stomp the gas you still feel something missing.

It is all up to you. Trust me V6 owners im not busting on you guys at all I love the new 4.0 but I got the V8 flu and cant shake it .

All I can really say is take your time. Do not rush things especially if its your first purchase of a vehicle. If you look at it..save the money you were gonna toss into the body kit and exhaust and put it into a V8.

ya thats true man...but im not so much looking for power...i just really need a quick peel out i guess comming outa baseball practice lol...im still in high school btw so you know its all show n not go....but really tho i dont need the v8 just bcuz i wont be racing or speeding...my mom has a porsche boxster that i can take out if i want to go racing or whatever lol but im going to college in a few years and need to get a car for myself...so i really like this stallion kit but it confuses me by the the difference in other kits...like it says that its a full replacment frount and not add on...so i think that means that they have to remove the original stock bumper and put on this one...and really the only thing i need done to the kit is painted bcuz i know a guy who will do it very cheap for me
also i just listened to the flowmaster 40 on a 05 v6 on youtube and it sounds awesome...which i also know someone who can install for like $100 so thats good...but can you help me out with the frount bumper

Reminds me of myself before i joined the army....wait I haven't changed haha.

You are correct it replaces your stock V6 bumper with a complete new bumper. A add on is a body kit like Street Scene. They do not send you a new bumper just basically trim to tack onto your existing bumper.

If you are looking for not so much performance at least get a CAI that does not require a tune like the AFE Stage 2 Intake or K&N. It adds performance and gives your motor a sweet extra purr when you feed it some fuel. For only an extra 250

For exhaust your two best bets are MAC Axel Back or the Flowmaster. I had a Flow and was extremely pleased with it.

Then if you want you can look into the CDC Shaker Hood...but not to sure they work as well as the V8 version.

Hopefully this helped any other questions just ask.

Hooah
