I am one of those kids that most people complain about. The 18 year old kid with the V6. My moms cousin owns a used car dealership and got my mom a GREAT deal on my car. 11 thousand for my 03 conv. in april of 05. plus free matinance whenever i need it. I cant sell it so this is my car for good till college graduation. I have a friend who sold me his (only 3 month old) Diablo tuner (i know its not the best) for 200 Bucks. I put on a MAC CAI and Mac Catback Exhaust. Im about to get 3.73s and Ford Racing lowering springs. I love driving my Stang and hate that just about everyones agaisnt me. ive read so many forums bashing V6ers and ecspecially the young kids who drive them. I know my v6 inside and out. I deffinately know how to drive my car. I basically wanted to get out the fact that its the way you drive your car through traffic, around corners, the way you shift and the way you control your car that determines your status. I have friends with 5.0s,Gts even ricers and HP and looks arent everything. I think straight lines are over emphasized I know drivers who have 150 Hp ricers that kill Cobras. Im not saying Cobras,50s and Gts arent amazing cars. I love Mustangs. just saying that the next time someone tries to bash someone elses car you better be able to back up more than my car has 2 cylinders or has cooler rims. Im not trying to bash anyone or start a commotion just simply stating that i takes more than a more expensive car to be faster. Other than that sorry for the abrupt introduction into AFM ive been reading these threads forever and finally decided to post. Anyways. Id love to hear anyone input wiether it be for or against what i say.

He raced a 30 something year old in a 1998 cobra. Stick.
Of coarse this was on a track well. it was a setup cone course on an old airfield. they raced for 300 bucks. The Cobra did smoke him off the line and kept the lead for about the first lap, lap and a half. the celica started to creep up finally after 3 laps (outa 4) the celica driver was pulling corners like crazy. Trust me i was sad. I am a huge mustang fan. Cobra and Saleens are beautiful to me. But the guy had to pay up the cash. Now im not saying a little 4c Celica will take a Cobra by no means whatsoever. Just that Hp and Money deffinately are a little over rated. Tires, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, brakes and all that have alot meaning as well. My point was simple because your car has more HP, more upgrades, costs more or has more cylinders doesnt mean your almighty, racing has alot more to it than just putting your foot down. Its just people put down someone with less power but 90% of the people you run into on the street weither it be a Civic, GT, Bmw wont run with you or if they do are to scared to take it past 105. Anyways i know people are gunna trash me for all this but its just my beliefs.

I am real confused about this entire thread... Are you for or against V6's, Mustangs, Imports, Euro's etc. etc. You sort of contradict yourself at every sentence.
I think if you actually took the time to read some threads on this forum you would see that this is a very nice forum, sure you have some dumbasses but every site does. In the V6 section you will find hardly any bashing of any kind. I am part of many many different forums and I honestly have to say that this forum is one of the nicest ones I am on. Most others have an inferiority complex concering the make and model of that car...
I am into handling much more than straight line power. My Mustang can out-handle any Mustang in my area and most other cars too, but I do know how to drive my car unlike most people that try to "race" or whatever you want to call it. lmao
But, Yeah I have no idea what your point in making this thread was...

I hear you brother I am 16 with a 2000 V6 Mustang. And you should see the looks I get there is this one asshole on this forum named boost TT you should see all the stuff he had to say when I posted that I beat a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S. Yes I know its a 4 cylinder but it felt good to put a ricer in there place!!!! I totally understand what your saying. PEOPLE FOR SOME REASON HATE TEENS WITH V6'S?!?!?!?!?

It is probably because most teens with a Mustang/Camaro regardless of engine size think that they are the ****... They seem to think that they can do just about anything and get away with it. In my town there are about the same amount of 16-21 year olds who own imports and domestics and both groups drive about as stupid as you can get. Just the other nite I saw a Mustang and a Civic "racing" and the Mustang was not paying attention to what was in front of her and she slammed into the back of a full size Chevy truck and totalled her car out. It is not just the import crowd who gives teen's a bad name...
yeah, it's a fact of life, kids in general just have it harder. Just remember, and I speak from experience... Be patient with kids as you get older, because they do get dumber as you age. Never forget, you were there too!!
We got well acquainted with the local state troopers back in high school... it's bad when they know you by you're first name, and remember where you live.
My friend always had new tickets it seemed, his I-ROC and later, his heavy-camming Z-28 got waaayyyy too much attention. My first truck was the most suspicious pizza delivery truck on the block, and I've been pulled over a good 6 or so times, and investigated twice.... because people thought I was casing their house... I was trying to deliver the damn pizza!! Later, my 92 F150 drew the parking meter fuzz, and oh, lets not forget the ones that came to my house... the neighbors called a shots fired in, and yeahh..... any idea how state police respond to a shots fired call in my town?? There has been fatalities in the past, and they don't take chances. Needless to say, we call the troop BEFORE we step out onto the range now.
For some reason, most people associate kids in v6ers a kin to ricers. Don't ask for an explanation from me, because until I owned one, I couldn't tell the difference in body style.
Oh yeah, as cmaurer1 said, we do have some dumb-asses on the AFM site... ignore them and report them if they are REALLY aggressive and are trying to incite something. Let the moderators do what they do best, because they do a damn good job as it is.

Yeah yeah....I have had HATE because I own a 2004 40th anniversary v6....They doughted me and im only 21. Young or Old People are going to dought the v6 stang or Love.....Look at it for yourself....When you see an old person driving a v6 stang its mostly a car to get him to a to b and looks nice doing so....Most Older people dont race. when you see a teenager you know hes bound to race or smart off.
I had a lot of people hate my stang and it made me go out and buy more for it....Not get rid of it. Now I can do the same as GT's and and beat Ricers all around. I have an 03 Cobra that my brother and I bought together and 02 Vette with my Wife.
But I wanted to see what I could get out of a V6 Mustang and SMOKE other racers doing it. I bought A LOT of stuff for this Mustang and am VERY VERY HAPPY with her. I love both of My stangs Equally.
People have told a lot of V6 guys to go buy a V8...Or your Wasting your Money....Hell I would rather have better gas and make my car FAST the v6 way. Believe it or not. I drive my V6 Custom More than the S/C 03 Cobra
