Great Day for My V6

So i had an amazing day.

(Warning do not bash me about thinking my car/i am the **** and/or i have a fast car) i do not, just had a fun day.

I was heading to blockbuster to return some movies (Ace Ventura)
and a 06 civic si pulled up next to me at a light. now this one of THOSE streets. there is a light almost exactly 1/4 mile ahead. Now i wasn't really in the racing mood but when i heard him rev i got that tingle. So i heard his little ricer rev to about 3000 a few times. Clicked my overdrive button threw her in neutral and thanks to my tune threw my engine up to about 5800 with my MAC exhaust and saw the guy look at me with a diffrent look seeing my engine runmble. i saw the turn light go so i had a good 10 seconds i threw her in gear and threw smoke everywhere. i let it back down to see the light turn orange. then boom we both took off. now i wont lie he had me until the end of the intersection but when i hit the top of first i was gone. I ended up taking him to the next light by about 2 lengths at about 88-91 mph. he started to slow but i just blasted to about 110 and then made my way calmly to the movie store. Just when i thought it couldnt get better. This i dont wanna bash but very Douche looking prep kid (didnt even look 15 i dont know how he was driving) was reving his stock either 96-7-8 v6 with all his friends around. now i would have left him alone but i walked by and heard him say and i quote "yeah i could take it" while they all starred at my car. This kid got his chance.i just couldnt help myself i dropped my movies off got back in my car and from reverse pounded the gas and chirped out of the lot. Now him being him. I knew he would follow he was pretty far behind me but im sure he floored it cause he caught up to me a few lights down. Now First off i knew my splitport 03 would take him. second he had 3 other people in the car and i have nothing in my trunk and the top down for traction. Third i know his car was stock and i have not the greatest of mods but hey exhaust, cai and tune is a good 12-15rwhp. Now were at this light and i know i have this so hes reving his engine and starring at me i did not look or rev my engine. I wanted this guy to think he had the best chance ever. the light turned and wow. I know i dont have that fast of a car but his 150hp at the crank with an extra 500Lbs vs my 500lb less 210hp at crank(i dont wanna get bashed for trying to guess the RWHP on both) he was just left behind. Now im not bashing against the V6 or teenage driver just that he had it coming when he threw down a comment like that. Now my night was just great i figured it wasnt going to get any better. But of coarse i was wrong. As i was getting close to my house i pulled up to a light and a orange 06 eclipse pulled up next to me. he had rims and a new exhaust. im guessing probably cai mayb tune and some other things. Now i was runnig good. But i wont lie that i was a little scared i wasnt sure how i was going to hold up. Well i hit the o/d and waited for the light we both pulled off he was a little ahead not more than a car length we stayed about even for a while but i began to pull up little by little before the next light we were about even running around 85 90 then i pulled about half a length forward. then a little more and more. finally his front bumper was about equal with my back. Just was we passed the street before mine i began to slow down. we both were rolling about 50 and gave each other the thumbs up. he took off down the street as i turned off. It didnt really hit me what happened until i got home.Now i am sharing this with u all. Just had a good old day with my V6.

Now My new challenge is my Friends 5.0
I wanna Beat him N/a. And i Will do it all who doubt me. I know there are people running like 220p 280Tq N/a

I wish i had kids in rice cars wanting to race me, and punks in mustangs thinking they can take mine. What town do you live in, i might be moving...

nice kills. as far as the mustang i dont like to race other mustangs, its a family thing, but he crossed that line and you put him in his place. lol well mustangs that aint from my area. i think she deserves a day of detailing!

Im not really into racing other mustangs but he made the challenge and i didnt ask to race he followed me so i had to.

And i live in this really small town in between San Fransico and San Jose. You can find a race easy in my town. The only people who live here are indians, asians and mexicans. Not to be racist/ but 50% drive stock early 90 ricers with fart cans. 30% have decent ricers but still nothing to special 10% have nice cars that they spent time on ie - bomb wrx's evos 350s and then 10% that drive really nice cars. so basically if you drive to the "mexican" side of town u can find tons and tons of crx's integs and civics all with single 4 inch pipping, glasspack ridiculous like 6 inch tip.LOL but anyways its called "sunnyvale" yeah i know its lame. But hey we have 2 ford delarships in the city and 2 mustang only shops withing 20 minutes!! But yeah. BTW im getting blackout covers (front n back) for my baby. Oh and the package deal from Autobadges. Ohh and im gunna add a High Performance Emblem under the 232 on the trunk lid.

I don't street race. I just embarrass them at the track. It's more fun that way.......

I street race and do the track....Im pretty damn good at both...I won the v6 Class last week. out of 12 v6 stangs.
And have YET to get beat by Rice lol

Doesn't it feel good to put big ego's where they belong? And props to the eclipse, I don't mind imports when they appreciate a good race!
My 6er is bone stock, but I was challenged one day by a National Guard in a BMW. I knew I had no chance at holding a candle to his BMW... and that little blow-off valve of his, but I'm not one to not have fun regardless. My rear tires were the junkers I was trying to waste, and he gave me a great excuse... If I was going to fail, I'd might as well go out in fashion.
Both of us are holding about 3,000RPM when the light hits, I pop the clutch and hold the breaks on.... then viola! No more looking out the back window. I let off, he spun his fronts... then I got a good look at his tail lights... Ah well. Next light, both him and his buddy in a sweet lifted Tacoma send props for the show. the next few lights are long ones, so we BS'd our way through 15min of traffic, talked cars, Army and strippers... not a bad time IMO, good way to kill time on the commute!

i call shens...

and why does everyone hate Japanese cars? In reality many of then could smoke you, me, and tons of other v6 stangs. more imports are faster than v6 stangs i would tend to believe...

the new civic si's are faster than our cars. the one you raced must of had a crappy driver...

If u read, i stated that i have nothing against foreign cars. German, Japanese, italian. whatever. I was just sharring my expirience. And Plus thats the point no one would race if it was who ever had more HP. u need to be able to drive, know how to tune your car and have no limits. That would be the point of racing. And ive raced 3 civic si's and havent lost. Mayb it is thr drivers but its not like i kill them so i know there running strong. Anyways i am in no way againts foreign cars.

If they actually don't, then perhaps I'm mistaken either by the drive wheel or the make.

Did you miss the dumb prep in the other stang?? Killed him too, thats make against make, not domestic Vs import. I always like a good race, even if I'm not killing them. I'll race a corvette for fun, I know they'll hand me my ass, but whatever... I didn't buy a new cobra, I bought a used v6... and I'm cool with it.

Sounds like the eclipse was the best race of the day (unless you're going for ego-bust with the prep), and it's always cool to race any serious enthusiast no matter what they're driving... Hell, I have a friend that could probably whoop a stock v6er with his lawnmower... yeah, a milled turbo (made into a SC) on a pulley and an old-as-heck "Rug" brand mini-mower... He has the speeding ticket to prove it too. Goes to prove, if you dump enough money into anything, it too can be fast.

How many junky beat up 80's civics do you see?? I see them everywhere, and they're all looking for a race. These are the stereotypical rice drivers that taint the name of the civic, so point a finger at them if you want to complain about people having a certain degree of distaste for the big H. The ratio of 80's junkers looking for a race, compared to the 2006+ Civic crowd of willing contestants are grossly unmatched. Only an enthusiast would take the time to tune they're brand-"the bank still owns"-new shiny Civic, everyone else just goes to work and back with them.

wish I had someone pull up like that wanted to have a little fun :P becuase we have a couple streets the speed limit is 65 with lights (gotta love being in the middle of nowhere) really wanna see how 4.10 and a t-lock do against people

yeah, i race for the fun of it. i took on a gt i knew would smoke me, just because i like the feel of a good race. lol, i don't know if the guy was humoring me or not but i kept my own for a few until i realized the police station was next block coming up and let off the pedal - couldn't risk a ticket

If you really want to have fun, and have a few mods take on a stock 5.slow. if you can drive you should win

Its all good guys, i own a 240sx with sivlia conversion(front end in process), so I try to defend imports as much as i can. I agree there are many stupid ricers out there, but i see just as many mustang ricers as i do import ricers. i mean shoot by some standards my mustang is rice...kit, worthless exhaust, blah blah

my buddy has a civic si that runs 9s in the quarter and it looks stock...haha thats a fun car to be in....we totaly destroyed beyond all recognition a zo6 on i-95...hahaha

But like paintballer said, the Civic Si should have handed your own ass to you. I could be mistaken but they are even lighter than our cars, and have more power. The kid probably just sucked at driving.

I know what you mean. Ever see the cavalier drivers? That car really can go either way. I've seen them pull off a pretty slick aggressive muscle-esk look, and I've seen examples that I thought was a f'd up civic or corolla.

I suppose that's the fun of racing, because you never know who sucks at driving. My friend beat a brand new Ferrari (in 2003) on the pike with his I-ROC Camero, all because they missed a shift and ground the piss out of the gears... lol- it was the dealership guys driving it too! I think they were afraid to break it after that.
