Default WARNING / Bashing other cars or their owners can get you a points violation.

I have seen more and more disrespectful comments about other types of cars and their owners here in the V6 section lately. This is not what AFM is for. We can enjoy our cars and have pride in them, but AFM does not support the bashing or insulting of other car types or their owners.

With this in mind, I request that this stop immediately. If it does not I will be enforcing the disrespectful comment rule in regards to this type of posting.

And as V6 Owners WE should know better. V6 Mustangs are often the target of jokes, insults, and bashing... we don't allow that to happen here, nor will we allow members to do the same thing concerning other cars and their owners.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I'm glad someone finally said something about this. I've read too many posts that have disrespected other very tastefully modded cars without taking into consideration the hard work and dedication, time and money put into those cars. yes, there will always be those cars that are less than stellar or may not agree with your personal tastes but still...it's not fair for those that put lots of thought and effort into their work.

Hmm... Its about time this was enforced here. I was the one defending my car though and I got the infraction points...

This is my first mustang, and I didn't realize how mean people could be about what kind of engine I have. It seems like if you buy a car that even looks like it could race, people have to discriminate it. When I bought it I was asked two questions in this order... Was it stick? Yes. Awesome. Was it a V8? No. WTF is wrong with you woman???!!??! Honestly I like the v6. I drove a v8 and it was nice. Very nice, but it got too loose on me a couple times and I didn't like that. Plus, I'm a girl, and I like sleepers. A guy is gonna pull next to me with his bad ass GT, and he's gonna look over and assume that I know jack smit about cars, and he can take me. I just smile, and know, yea he might win, but I'll surprise the hell out of him when I take off from the light and blow through first and second before he even realizes what hit him

So anyway...thanks for ending the bashing here. I realize GT's may be faster. But they also LOOK faster. When I get my car right, you won't know what your pulling up next too

How's it going guy's / girls. I ran across this when I was looking for a exhust thread for a new guy here with a v6.

I have seen this starting to come up more often as I read through the new members welcome thread. I dont bash on any motor or car (except for rice LOL)! It's wrong and I'm not here for that crap. And if someone is, well I'm sorry but they need to get the hell out of dodge! I've seen some hop up v6's and they were nice.!

My question to you members here is what is a "points violation"?

Jason

Remember when you create this sleeper your going to get alot of "wana race". I have all the badging off mine and I get it all the time. Mostly from the ricers! I love the sleepers !

A Points Violation is when a Moderator/Admin gives you an Infraction for breaking forum rules and Points are given to your profile. Members can get a written warning NOT on the system (as in an open warning on the forum or in a PM but not through the forum's infraction system), a WARNING via the infraction system, or a Points Violation via the infraction system.

When a member gets points added to their account they add up and can cause an automatic temporary ban from the forum. Staff can also issue a ban, temp or permanent, outside the "adding points" system.

I hope that explains it well enough. Thanks for asking.

I'm just going to assume the bashing of ricers is still acceptable behavior though

words are cheap and bashing is childish...why not just drive and let your car do the talking...

And what's wrong with imports? Chevys I could care less for but I would safely bet that 75% of cars in the US are not US cars. There's a reason for that. This is exactly what the thread is supposed to be about. People will never learn...

^lol That comment made me laugh.

I have noticed it a lot lately too. I don't really understand it. We as V6 owners have no room to talk, no room at all. Our V6's are not fast, most wouldn't even consider them quick. Its not like the GT owners have to much to brag about either. I don't have a problem with any type/brand of car. There are cars that I like from every manufacturer and there are cars that I despise from every manufacturer. I think a lot of people are hung up on the fact that they own a "Mustang".

Hell, half of the Domestic's have parts that are made outside of the US anyway. The Cologne 4.0L V6 in the S197 for instance...
