Ok I am extremely extremely shocked at what happened. So the other night I got together with my family and pretty much all my family likes to race that is a big reason why I do to. So me and my cousin were cruising around before I dropped him off at home and we are at a light with an Infiniti G35 Sedan he later told me after the race that it was an 2003 auto tranny. He rolled down his window and said "hey stanger you wanna see some power?" So anyways when the light turned green we both launch I got it perfect but the thing that shocked me is that throughout the whole race it was extremely close I was only like 1/2 or 1 car length behind him and all I have is CAI and dual exhaust. After the race the guy whom I raced was amazed too told me "wow your stang got balls." LOL it felt good I never believed all the people who said those things(G35) have no torque but they were right me and him launched the same I had problems with him in the long run. I know those things have an excellent top end speed. I just want to know how did this happen because I WAS SHOCKED AND SO WAS MY COUSIN HE WANTED A G35 UNTIL HE SAW WHAT BALLS A LITTLE BABY V6 STANG HAS. I WAS AMAZED BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW DID THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE I EVEN ASKED THE GUY "DID YOU GIVE IT ALL YOU HAD?" AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE DID... HE SAID HE HAD HIS PEDAL DOWN THE WHOLE RACE AND DIDNT LET UP ON ME BECAUSE HE SAID HE WASNT ABOUT TO LET A STANGER BEAT HIM!

Thanks bro. When I look at the stats on the 2003 G35 Sedan I saw that they have 260 HP AND TORQUE and I dynoed my V6 2000 AUTO STANG at 200 HP AND 225 TORQUE and everyone says that the stangs have more torque and it sure as hell looks like it. I am not sure if the G35 Torque is overated on the 03-04 models is right because I know for example that the ricer honda accord v6 has like 244HP but only has 211 Torque thats what it felt like his car had because dude I am a V-6 and I kept up with a car that is running 60 more horses and 35 Torque!!! Something on the G35 aint adding up bro.

Thanks bro even if it wasnt a kill for a V-6 it is a kill in its own right to keep up with a G35. I have never raced a coupe but I can tell you the sedan was definetely in my Stang's range. I have however raced my older brother's mustang gt he has a 2003 GT and he burned me through all the gears so I know that mustang gt' s are putting down there real horsepower and torque ratings.

The best race i have had so far has been like a 2002 or 03 bmw 525i stock and i walked away from that guy other then that its just been civics and accords

Dude I think your stang would have definetely stood a chance against the G35 I raced because for one yours has more horsepower and torque stock and I kept up so do the math and I think you would have stood a chance of winning! Later bro.

I think that the other guy did not know how to drive... The G35's are a driver's race for the same year Mustang GT's.

Well I am not really sure how the driver wouldnt know how to drive considering that we both had automatic transmissions.

I can show you hundreds of video's where slow cars beat fast cars.... Does that mean that it will happen all the time? No...

A V6 Mustang is slow, very slow. An Infiniti G35/Nissan 350 or the new G37's and 370(when it comes out) are pretty damn quick. The new 3.7L in the Nissan sports cars is actually consistently faster than the 4.6L in the 05+ GT's. Since Nissan introduced the VQ engines they have all been nicely powered and an almost even match up with a GT. They may not have as much torque as a GT but they are lighter making the race even.

Your race was nothing but a fluke. A G35 will hand any 94-04 V6 its ass if all they have are bolt-ons. It takes more than bolt-ons for our cars to compete with 260+ hp.
