Default taking off mufflers

right now i have a true dual flowmaster 40 set up with a custom H pipe

im getting kinda tired of it and i want it to me louder, so i was wondering if taking off the mufflers is a good idea?

My buddy took the mufflers off his 06 GT and it sounds better than my 06 Gt with flowmasters

The V6,s are real loud and sorta ricey with out mufflers.Consider a different muffler.

i was messin around one day and i disconnected my factory Y-Pipe, and wow. it sounded like total garbage, worse than any ricerocket ive ever heard. not only does that setup scream "V6", it also screams "pull me over, pig". im pretty happy with my current setup, but i dont think it flows well enough.
