Ok, now I know you are all going to hate me, but the idea behind it is plausible. There are some interesting things online about them. If you could get a battery for it and hook it up with your alternator, get a blower that would be good enough not to overheat, and a variable speed switch, you could make some extra hp.
Now with all that said its probably more a waste of time to the ACTUAL hp increases you'll get, but for the money? All I know is that they can provide 1-4 Psi of BOOST these days....yea I said it Boost!
I would be curious to see what it does on an already turbocharged car or supercharged. If that was the case, your turbo lag would physically evaporated, as well as getting the turbine to spin faster than the exaust would push it at lower RPM.
It did give a little boost, we hooked up a gauge and saw about 2psi. Downside was the way it worked. It had a small switch that went under your accelerator pedal, and when you floored it, it turned on the 'charger', so it was only working under floored conditions. The motor would over heat if you bypassed the switch since it was not variable speed or anything.
It was a fun thing to try and play with, and I think it was only like 150 for the Scion.
Get it, you'll gain over 100hp............Nah don't fall for those dumb advertisements. If it was that cheap for that much power then everyone would have one.

My stepson bought the "E-Ram". He went through two of them in less than 4 months. It's a big POS. I took his last one apart and all that I can say, it's a cheaply made POS. In both cases the windings were cooked. He had it on an Acura and it didn't really do anything but load down the alternator which counteracted any performance gain. The ad was really convincing, though. As said, save your money.
Yup, a big waste of money. Haven't heard of someone, aside from those rich guys who can afford and will not use it, who bought this supercharger and made his life more simple and his car more useful. Just try other option aside from this one.
But the basic principle is there. IF you had it on speed control, had it installed with its own dedicated battery and a 12 guage lead wire, theres some CFM going into the intake track. I wouuldn't buy one...But like I said in an earlier post I would like to see a Turbo or Supercharger guy get one of these ones that blow 400CFM and see what they say.
I heard it somewhere that it removed the turbo lag on a friends SRT4..... I have no personall expertese, but I would give that a try... Switch it on at the start of a 1/4 mile, remove it, go again.
