A buddy of mine has a black 2004 Mach 1. His tint is 5% all the way around. Looks AWESOME! But the only drawback is that sometimes he has to put his windows down at night just to see out of his car. I'm assuming your car is silver (judging by your profile picture). So I think a dark black tint would look pretty sweet.

Out here in California no window tint is allowed. I have gotten a few fix it tickets in my pick up for that stuff.

I'm in california and the only cops I have trouble with for ANYTHING at all is the CHP.

I've sat at a light next to a local cop with my windows up and he didn't even look twice.

But yeah, I have 5% window tint all the way around (minus the windshield of course). I've had 8 fix it tickets from the CHP, but, I bought an extra set of windows from the junkyard and swap them in. All of my cases have been exonerated so I don't pay anything

update. jinxed myself with my last post. Got pulled over by a local cop that obviously did not have his donuts and coffee this morning. So that's ticket #9 for window tint.

You've been tagged 9 times and you're still claiming its the cops fault? Thats some expensive tint.

From what I understand you can't tint the windshield at all, and the tint on the front side windows can't be more than a shade or two darker than what it rolled out of the factory with.

Other than the cost of the swap-out windows, the time you spend getting pulled over, the time you spend switching windows around, and the time you spend in court....

$50 for both pair. 5 minutes of my day. 15 minutes to swap in/out, and no time in court because it's a fix it ticket. worth it to me
