It will be a close race IMO because honestly, the V6 is only going to have an extra 15 HP at the best because the K&N isn't the most powerful CAI out there. A CAI with a 93 octane tune will yield about 20 HP by itself. The dual exhaust adds about 7 HP but a single exhaust on the V6 will yield the same ~7HP as well.

I am going to agree. It would be a better race if you had a tune to go with the cai and exhaust. Make it more even I guess. lol

Is this the 2.7L or the 3.5L? The base comes with both engine options. If it is the 2.7L you will murder it, those engines suck ass. If it is the 3.5L then I think it will be a pretty even match up.

The 3.5L is a pretty nice engine, it would be a quick engine if it were in a different car. Like the Caliber or the Avenger. There is supposed to be some new p/p heads and a cam kit coming out for the engine that will be making some serious power. I sort of hope they come out so that those cars can get some recognition. lol I like that 3.5L, imagine if it were a DOHC rather than a SOHC.

Its likely a motor like this will be the domestic performer in the near future. Of course with a little boost

The Hp to weight ratio is extremely close. So it really depends on who has the better run. Normally in this situation I favor the lighter car but its really a toss up.
