it depends on what you want.. do you want alot of hp all the time or just for a few seconds? because a s/c will be lots of hp all the time and nos is alots of hp for a few seconds.

depends on how big a hit of nitrous vs. how many # of boost you try to run. a s/c will typically provide more power and is a more "permanent" power adder.
nitrous can give gains near or greater than that of a s/c for a fraction of the cost if tuned properly.
As far as making a decision on which to buy, the "initial" cost effective route definitely leans in favor of the NOS. A S/C is about $4000 minimum (not including installation) but when you figure in how many times you'll have to refill the NOS bottle(s) and if you have a convenient place to get it refilled........and the fact that a S/C is always there & ready to go when you need it.........S/C would be my choice.
Sorry about going off on a tangent, when you were asking about which produced the most power.

Depends how often you are driving/racing your car. A friend of mine wanted to go F/I or Nitrous, (Not NOS guys, lol that's a brand name you silly ricers), and I told him to go S/C, his budget was tight though so he went nitrous. I gotta say I am impressed, so far no problems with his car (I'm waiting for his engine to explode), but he's been doing 50-75 shots and np's yet. Nitrous is a great way to go if you just plan on going to the track every couple weeks and beating up on some rice paddies. :h appydance:

I will echo the folks who suggest getting a SC first and then the other if you want it. I think for every day driving a person will see far better results with a SC. You will indeed see bigger power gains temporarily with nitrous, but you will truly have an overall more powerful car IMO with SC.
