Default new bumper for my 2000 mustang

so i recently backed into a trailer, ya i know it was stupid but it was really dark and the trailer was low to the ground. so to learn responsibility my dad is making me buy a new one plus i wouldnt be seen with a cracked bumper. So i was thinking since i wanted a dual exhaust i would go ahead and get a GT bumper put on that has the dual exhaust cut outs i got the estimate for like $775 which isnt bad. im not trying to imitate being a GT and it wont say GT anywhere on the bumper so my question is are there any differences between a GT bumper and v6 bumper in terms of instalation?

thats good to know, i went to 3 places(even the ford dealership!) and no one besides a chevy body shop could they just said it would proboley work. Im looking forward to getting it put on but the only problem is i wont have enough money for exhaust for like a month. So ill have a dual exhaust bumper with only one pipe lol it will look funny but o well its only a month right

i just got a gt bumper on my v6 last month it was 636 total... its easy to install yourself... i would just buy the bumper and have it painted and install it yourself... however there are little plastic screw type things on the bottom and left and right sides of it there is 3 in the middle and 2 on each side when you pull them out mostlikely you will break them ask for them when you go pick up your bumper... also the bumper has less places to screw it in on the bumper i think there is two instead of 4 so be sure and make it snug but not too tight because you will break the bolt off they are very flimsy... hope this helps

yea i promise you straight up it bolts right up to your car i have a 2000 v6..... that estimate is steep they will charge you 100 for instalation that takes 40 minutes with one person... like i said mine was 636... make sure they arent charging you a s*** load for instalation

you can get a gt bumperif you want i put dual exhaust on my v6 and i didnt need to cut the bumper, i just lowered the exhaust tips about 3 inches i think it looks cool but thats just me. but think about whatever is cheaper for you, and by the way if you do get the gt bumper you need dual exhaust or else it looks bad , this girl i know did that and she doesnt have duals and it looks cheap and horrible.

what i mean is should i wait till i have enough money to get the bumper and exhaust instead of having a dual exhaust bumper with a single pipe for about two weeks till i have enough to get the exhaust but on. i would never get the exhaust put on before i got the bumper fixed, honestly the bumper is all that bad hardly worth replacing but i wouldnt be caught with any sort of crack in my bumper...no matter how small
