I think you'll take it though. To improve your chances, race with only 1/8th tank of gas, take your spare tire, jack and anything else out of your car that doesn't need to be there.

What are the specs? Don't be afraid of front-wheel drive rice-cakes. Our mustangs will out-torque the crap out of most anything. Who gives a crap about a 197 hp Civic when it's makign 120 torque. its a toyota. they are better at making drifters than racers. you should get him. whats the worst that could happen? you miss a gear and he barely wins? go for it.
