Havent given too much thought about it, and kept blowing it off. Im about to change my brakes so i want to fix whatever this is at once. I notice while driving and coasting i feel my car slowing down. we have big hills here and i put my car in "N" to coast and i was gradually losing speed and im not even applying the brakes. Is this a safety feature from ford? is there anything i can look for to resolve this?
Jack your car up and see if the wheels will spin freely.

Its physics...your car isn't going to maintain a constant speed at all times until you apply the brakes. Unless you are talking about going downhill. If you are then check the bearings. If the bearings are ok check your rotors. If the rotors are warped enough they could be rubbing the brake pads and slowing you down

thx, ill do that. anyone else have any input? if they dont spin freely what would that intale?
I have had either the brake pads get cocked sideways, or the caliper froze up on the bolts and wouldn't float (for lack of a better term). Just a couple of quick ideas.
