Okay, we all get it. Poly is better and the way to go if you can afford it. But sometimes people don't have the funds for it and do what they can afford. "Something" is often times much better than nothing.

We could sit and point out the flaws or downsides of just about anything people do with their cars when on a budget. But what does that help?

Obviously fiberglass body kits SELL. They are available because people buy them and they are affordable. They are an entry level way to get a look that is not stock. There is a need and a customer base for it.

So can we please move on? Everyone gets the point.

For all of you that have made supportive comments, and even those that have said it's not for them, I appreciate it. I'm not sure why this turned into a lowering or material dabate, it's just 2 pictures of my car. And MY car is just how I want it. I have been looking at this particular kit since I got my car 2 months ago, it's the one I wanted if I ever got a body kit. I was just lucky enough to find one near me that the guy was selling cheap. Maybe that makes it "cheap" to some people, but to me it was a "good deal". And just so everyone knows, the kit is NOT fiberglass. You can twist the pieces almost 180 degrees, they're very flexible. So the reasons I don't care to lower my car are two-fold. I just don't care to lower it, and no matter HOW much the kit flexes, I don't care to mess up the paint. I'm sorry that a simple picture post turned into this. I guess I learned my lesson.

Just say you don't want to lower it. The point I'm making is if its poly you wont mess up paint, unless you just drive like a maniac. Where I live we have some damn driveways that are basically an L bottom lip of my body kit scrapes, headers scrape, collector scrapes lol. I'm just trying to say if its poly you don't have to FEAR messing up anything. Its your car if you like it what else really matters? But all mustangs when they start out look like they need mud/swamp tires and a wet muddy road

Don't listen to what everybody else says about it. As long as you like thats all that matters! Its a great looking car and you have every right to be proud of it!
