Hey everyone, I was trying to search for longtube headers for my 01 v6, but all i come up with are for gt's... Are there any for V6's? Also, is it worth it to put on LT's on a v6?

Pacesetter and Mac both make LT's. I think the Pacesetter are a better product because they have flanges, and you don't have to loosen the headers when you have to replace the starter. Jegs carries them with either EGR(for emissions) or non-EGR which I have on my '01.......

Thanks, I 'll check that out! Do you think they are easy to install? Or is it better to have the shop put it in? I'm itchin to get them now...

It's really no big deal to install. You can't really use anything on your current setup, only the mufflers. You would need to address your emissions if you guys take the sniffer test......

well, as for setup, my plan was to get LT headders with a shorty catted H pipe and have the shop refab my existing mufflers. do you think that will give them a frown?

Mac makes them as well but does not use a single flange but 6 of them and are harder to get to line up
