 Crankcase Fumes?
Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to the world of Mustangs. Recently purchased a 2003 Conv w/3.8l v6. Already plan to upgrade to a post 2005 conv (Torch Red, of course) w/4.6l of maybe 5.0. I'm a former Corvette owner, but really like the new Mustang.
I have a problem, however. I quickly repaced the exhast system w/duals (w/H-Pipe). Bad job - another $400 to get leaks found and fixed and to have it re-hung properly. the problem now is what I believe to be fumes from the crankcase, but people who look say there's nothing wrong.
I know I'm not crazy (I drove a lot today with the top down, could smell the fumes, and as I write this I am physically ill). I'm pretty sure it is not exhaust drawing back from the ends of the pipes and I am now certain that the system itself does not leak. I would really appreciate any thoughts. |
