Hello, Could someone please help me. I am trying to figure out what I have to do to add the GT Hood with the scoop onto my 2003 Mustang V6 convertible. I wanted to know:

Can I just swap out the stock hood with the GT hood with the scoop?

If not what modifications would I have to make? (ie. different hood hinges, re-route the air filter assembly, etc.)

Lastly, should I buy the hood directly from Ford, or is there a better place to buy the parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. You see I love the GT, but I did not want to pay the price of increase of fuel. I use this to commute back and forth to my firehouse (about 130 miles round trip). So I want to add on some of the GT look to my mustang.

Welcome to the site The swap should be basic with no mods.I suggest to look around salvage yards,e-bay,etc. for a hood.
