Default 3.9L Engine Question

I have a 40th edition 04 Ford Mustang and I know that these Mustangs are suppose to have a 3.8L engine so I don't know how mine has this one. Anybody know if this was a special edition Mustang or something?

Also I've been trying to find out if that changes the horsepower and torque on my Mustang? So how much horsepower and torque does my Mustang have? I was hoping someone hetre could have some answers? Thanks in advance!

A lot of 2004 mustangs have a 3.9L engine. It is almost exactly the same as a 3.8 but just a couple minor changes (piston stroke).

It's said that Ford had extra parts and just decided to use them from the newer v6 that they were putting in other cars.

193hp/225trq. Ford just used the 3.9L because they basically ran out of the 3.8L and since they were using the 4.0L in the 05+ model they just stuck it into the Mustangs. The 3.9L is nothing special, you are not any faster than the 3.8L's.
