well the only reason im considering the 9 is because im trading him a mp3 player for it that i never use so i figured i might as well get something useful, and what kind of modifications are we looking at

i dont know for sure someone in the day time will help you, it would more than liekly be minor relocation of mounting brackets, and or shock/spring mounts. no biggie i dont think

A 9" is alot of meat for your application. I have an 8.8 under the '02. It would also depend on the lengths of the tubes......

By the time you are done spending the $$$ to refurbish that 9" and modifying it to fit under your car properly you could have just gotten a good bolt-in ready 8.8 rear from the wrecking yard.

You could probably sell it for a bit more than that if you wanted to make a little money, or trade it for an 8.8" off of a GT guy who is wanting a tougher rear end. I would not put a 9" rear on my car, like shiner said that is a lot of rear end... lmao.

The extra weight is hardly justified and you'd have to figure out the gearing it has and if it was an open diff or not as well.
