actually, the 7.5 rear end in the 05+ mustangs can easily handle 300 to the ground. i would say anything more than 450, get the 8.8, otherwise, its not necesarrily needed

Your Stock rear end, though not ideal, would probably hold up.
lol it will hold, only because you wont have enough traction to break anything.
