when its pretty cool outside and i start my car let it sit for a minute then get off my road and mash it some how my thrills me and seems like it has alot of power and puts me in the back of the seat. but this only lasts for like 10 mins or so is this becuase once my egines gets really hot does it heat up my upper intake manifold and cai just make all of it a hot air intake if so when i take my car to the track will putting a bag of ice on the intake recreate all this power . let me know so i can tap into all this power and see what i run with it
That will help only a tiny bit and you won't feel anything from it. What happens when it is cold or nice and cool in the morning is that cool air is more dense than warm air so there is more of it going in to the cylinders.

lots of people put an icepack on their manifold & intake between runs, i do it too. i dont think it makes a huge difference, but i like to do it anyway. im sure you can use your sct to monitor your IAT. after a few runs, see what your IAT reads, and then cool it off, and check your IAT again, that'll show you how much it has cooled.
An intake spacer from VAPauto.com will also help. After i run my car up to temp, i can open the hood and put my hand on the upper intake. It keeps it relatively cool unless you go on a long trip, then the heat eventually gets to the upper intake.

Bigdaddy, what you said about washing the outside of the engine making it run better makes no sense at all. I have never heard of anyone washing off the engine to make the car faster at a track...
First of all Bigdaddy never said anything about cleaning the engine to make the car faster at a track he said it will work a little better. And second it does help if you wash all the grease, dirt and grime of the engine. That stuff will lock in heat and make your engine hold in heat rather than if your engine was clean and the heat dissipating like it should. So next time don't bash someone if you don't know what your talking about.
