Default 2001 manual performance upgrade..

Alright.... this is what I have planned for tha 'stang.... I am going to do CAI with a stage two powerpack from www.supersixmotorsports.com with a underdrive pulley and a re-flasked ECU. Then I am going to do true dual exhaust and going from 4.10's to 3.73's with a T-lock. Clutch rated at 350hp. Slotted rotors in the front and rear. and finally... i steeda tri-ax short throw shifter... how much power do you think i will gain?

considering only 3 items actually give you power. 30 hp. on a good day. under drive pulleys dont really do much. if you plan on a supercharger, hold off on the cai as a centrifical charger replaces the aftermarket with its own (usually) and the exhuast is the big power gainer on the list. depending on the brand and elevation you're in 10-15 hp. subtle but noticable. the shifter kit is just to shorten distance in throws obviously, and the gears aid in accelerating but not actually adding power. as for the clutch you might be OVER clutching it. if you are you'll have to rev to 3000rpm just to take off or you'll kill it. Is there anything you've done to it already?

A 350 HP rated clutch should feel just like the stock clutch. I have a Mcleod Street Pro in my 01, rated at 350 HP, and its easier to depress the pedal with this clutch over the stock one. Operates just like the stocker as well.

I think you'll pick up more than 30 HP with the powerpack. Thats ported heads, ported intake, as well as a cam. If you only pick up 30 HP from that, thats a complete waste of money. From a good tune alone you could pick up almost 20 HP.

I would say anywhere between 200-220rwhp.

Exhaust is not a 'big power gainer' ...

I see it at around 230-240rwhp give or take 10. He is going with the stage II powerpack. That is not exactly a bolt-on that will only get him 10hp... He should gain around 50-60hp with that, add in the bolt-ons and he will be around 260hp to the crank. That would be enough to beat most PI GT's.

OP, Are you going to do anything to the suspension?
