Default C & L 73mm Mass Air Conversion Kit

Do these really work? It says it adds up to 19 HP, I am purchasing a MAC CAI, and after I get that installed I would like to purchase the mass air conversion kit..Does anyone know if it would install into the mac CAI? It says that it will install into any cold air kits...Also do you think it would really add 19 HP? or does it mean 19 including the HP from the CAI also? Or at least over 10HP for the conversion kit alone..? Its priced at 208.99, tell me if you think its worth it to purchase..or your feedback on a mass air conversion kit..

It's a POS please don't get it. I've had three friends have serious engine problems after getting a C&L just be happy with the CAI.

Pass it up, I have yet to see a dyno that showed more than 6hp with it.

Get a Under drive pully instead.

Okay..But I just purchased a MAC CAI, and I myself, dont know A TON about engine parts..and performance parts..Could I install the underdrive pullies myself? or a bigger throttle body? Also what else, becides new exhaust, and pullies, will give me the best bang for the buck...dont say a supercharger..im not a millionare yet..but I do have a decent job this sumer, which is bringing in the cash flow, to afford some fairly expensive modifications..so gimme some ideas..

Gears and T-loc will give you the best bang for the buck. the AL drive shaft and UD pully are next. If you have a auto, then a shift kit and a better torque converter.

gears and t-lok definitly will give the best bang for the buck. I'm working on getting mine. Just under 800 for all the parts and labor.

I've had a C&L on my car for the past year-works great. I think I noticed a little more gain with it than I did with my underdrive pulleys.

-Jeff

BTW I sell Superior shift kits for 55.00 shipped if anyone wants one. Later!

I found another way to get the bolt off using a STRAP TOOL that you can get from Sears. Use the tool to hold the pully while using a socket to get the nut off.
