so i started my car this morning to warm it up and i turn the key to start the car and all of a sudden the starter just gave up? it was silent as if i didnt turn the car on and before i can turn the ignition off it worked and the car started? weird eh?

Need to check voltage first before spending $100 on a starter. Do you have lights?

i have headlights and foglights nothing special though

he means do lights turn on when you put the key in.. like your dash board's lights

if the starter's locked up try banging on it a few times, then try to crank it.
you've already tested your battery? for voltage & CCA ?

oo woops yeah the dashboard lights come on then when i start it up they turn off and the batterys fine.......the starter seems fine now to it only happened to me once
