Default BBK Shorty Headers worth it?

I got my exhaust on and it sounds real nice but want more sound. I now want to add some headers but CA sucks and cant do longtubes. How are bbk shorty headers besides just looking nice? I hear there is no difference from the stock ones, but some people say otherwise. Are They worth it for more sound/ power?

go for the headers, bbk headers are nice plus they have way more flow than stock, you will notice that your torque gains will increase so will horse power

Not to contradict what you said 1st-48, but you probably won't notice any difference at all with the BBK headers. They may flow more then the stockers, but honestly the stockers flow way more then enough for a stock or even mild build 3.8L.

I put BBK's on mine mostly because my factory pass. side header broke off at the header flange/donut. From looks and quality standpoint, they are awesome, and they probably do flow better then the stock headers, but like I said, you won't notice much at all.

i agree, the stock headers do flow well for a stock or mild build, i was thinking that he may have had a few other upgrades than what was mentioned, cam, head work, etc, stockers are fine

If you decide to get them, don't get the chrome ones, they're cheaper but they will discolor, turn blue, then start to rust. Buy the ceramics and have no worries.

Stalker your car looks great after getting it lowered. I'll be getting the springs and plates soon, but will our shocks and stuts hold without going out after 20k miles?

Lol, my 120K stock shocks/struts are probably yelling at me right now.

I know my right front strut is shot, and I'm pretty sure the back shocks are almost done as well. Its something I really need to upgrade but I keep putting it off.

I think the stockers will be ok for a little while, but the car will really benefit from having a good strut/shock combo, both in handling and in ride quality.

I have bbk shorties on my 96 gt although I have a bunch of mods now. my headers and exhaust were the first thing that I did and it made a huge difference they will do you good buy them with confidence they will cost around 200$for the pair.yes they will discolor over time but what headers dont? you want them for power right? If you want looks dont race! right shorties are good for your bottom end power they will work

Changing headers makes larger impact on 4.6L's then it does on the 3.8L V6.

Ceramic headers do not discolor. Mine still look just like they did when I pulled them out of the box.
