Default 1999 Mustang - Installing HID's?

Has anyone installed HID's in their 99-04 Stang? Did they need to buy a new headlight housing? Its my best assumption that the stock headlights of my V6'er are Dual filament, which means the HIDs would also need to have the high and low beams in one light.

Also, since my car is blue (atlantic blue), i figured maybe I'll go with the 6000K HID's.

Does anyone have any extra information about this topic? All help is appreciated!

JavaTN, you can use your existing housing for HID's. I just put HID's on mine and they are great so far (6000K). The bulb # (9007) are Bixenon and if you want to put HID's on your fogs... i believe all #800 series should fit! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information!

A few more questions:
1. Which brand did you purchase of HID's?
2. Did you need to hook up a Battery Harness to your HID's?

I got the BiXenon (6000K) for my headlights and regular Xenon (6000K) for my fogs.
Just some advice, if you get smoked headlights, the (6K's) won't be as blue due to the mixing of colors. But it will still be bright either way. I may switch to 4300K soon.

The HID's don't connect to the battery. Each bulb has some wires that connects to a ballast and to the wire harness from where the original bulb use to be. It color coded and plug n play.
