FINALLY!! Well, I wouldn't be a member if I didn't fill you all in. After all this waiting, I finally got my tuner!! I ripped the packaging off with my teeth and could wait to plug it in!! What was mentioned earlier was correct... just plug it in and the device copied my stock tune after some clicks. After installing my custom tune from AM, I took it for a test drive! All I can say is "Thank the Lord!" My shift poiints are sweet! My exhaust isn't as loud on 2nd gear and felt NO drag from my wheels! I almost creamed in my pants when downshifting, that extra drop when reaching 1000 RPM's made me love the car even more!! The car drives more smoother now and can keep up with other drivers with less effort! Thanks to everyone for your opinions! The only thing I gotta solve is my pinging upon low revs... hope it's not my lifters. If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I woulda experimented more with the tuner! Just wanted to update ya'll with my excitement! If anyone has info for me in calibrations, please do, I'm all ears.

Thanks

Pinging is not good. Are you sure you have 93 octane in your tank?

Yeah, I had started using 93 since last week before the tuner. When I downloaded the tune yesterday, I only had a 1/4 tank of gas. Then filled up after from exxon.

Pinging with a tuner can also mean that your timing is advanced too much so take a look at that if you could.

Before you go messing with your timing you should:

1. Change fuel filter
2. Tuneup- If you have old plugs, you might not be getting proper spark.
3. Clean mass air sensor

The main reason a tuner gives you more power is because they advance the timing for the added octane in the gas. Pinging is caused by detonation, which is harmful to hyper pistons-or any piston for that matter. It is a lean condition......
