Help at Shifting Alright, i have a 2000 v6 Mustang 5 speed and i can drive it pretty good not perfect though. I was curious what is the best rpm to shift on when racing. I usually shift around 5500 rpm to 6000 which is almost red lining. So at what rpm would be best to shift at when racing?

Your launch RPM depends on tires and a bunch of other things. Try 2500-3000 and experiment

I would not take that motor out to 6000 rpm's. If the V6 is stock or with just bolt ons, your wasting your time hanging the rpm like that.
I would keep the rpm's a little lower, 5000 rpm or so will be enough, the motor makes its torque down low, keep it there.
