Im 17 just bought the car a few weeks ago, i already ordered my cold air intake. Does an after market throttle body add enough power to be worthwhile? I only plan on keeping the car for a year or so then im gonna get a cobra. Until then does anyone have suggestions on what they did?
If you know for certain you are going to be getting a Cobra, don't bother modding the v6, it wont be worth it. Just save up for the Cobra or performance parts for it. If you are dead set on modding your 94 v6, check into a split port swap. A split port swap is taking the heads and intakes off of a 99-04 v6 and putting them on your 94 engine. That ill give you a solid 40 hp.

Go mods: U/D Pulley, BBK CAI and 65 mm TB, Pypes Violators dual exhaust with stock cats and an h-pipe, upper intake spacer, j-mod, SCT X3 tuner, and 3.73 gears and t-lock.
Show mods: Sequential tail light kit, GT fog lights, 8" shorty antenna, hood shocks, HID headlights, 17x9 inch Mach 1 rims wrapped in Vredestein Ultracs, and a chin spoiler.
aftermarket throttle bodies will do nothing for our v6's unless you are super or turbocharged so id look at other mods like exhaust or.. just save for your cobra

Throttle body is not worth it unless you have a lot of hp I will go with a tlok and gears first, then a short shifter exhaust, or long tube headers with a shorty midpipe.. to AFM!! buddy.
If you plan on buying a Cobra in the immediate future, I wouldn't bother with the V6. However, if you can't resist, I'd agree with gears, tlok, exhaust, etc. A split port swap would gain you a bit of power.

start off with a cai and dual exhaust...and a short throw if you have a manual. that should keep you busy for a year while you save for a cobra. if your trying to sell the V6, you might not want to mod it too much, may hurt the resale value a little bit. not to mention its kind of a waste of money if your not keeping the car.
Not to be disrespectful, but I dont think modding a v6 would be worth it, motorwise IMO. If anything, prolly Posi-trac and 410's would do the job... also a CAI? Sorry I dont know much about sn-95 V6's
I appreciate all the responses, im thinking ill just go exhaust and gears and just get the body mint, i dont think a cobras to realistic of a goal for the next year or two. I dont want to over mod it and have nobody buy it i just want to get around 3500 for it then i figure ill go GT once i get the v8 ill go all out. I really dont feel like supercharger my v6 is the way to go specially since i dont plan on keeping it for to long. How much would the gears cost if i pay somone to do it as apposed to me doing it myself?

When I was looking at gears, I was quoted around $300 for labor. However, college took my excess money. It differs depending on the area. I think you'll enjoy gears. A buddy of mine swapped his 2:73's in his SN95 for just 3:27's and he felt a difference.
