You cannot remove the mass air sensor and have your car run properly. You can remove the fenderwell silencer, but it is better to get a CAI......

1st lesson:
Horsepower isn't usually cheap

2nd lesson:
cheap - fast - reliable: pick 2

cai will allow your car to suck in more cold air, dual exhaust will make your car sound better and more power, and if you want looks you can put decal on your car and nicer rims.

It depends on how cheap you want the things cuz others are between 110-250 the cheap ones...

Best thing to do is don't go cheap on your car. put your mods in priority and go from there. my guess if everyone on afm did everything at once we'd all be broke. To get your power going try the CAI then go from there.

congrats on your purchase. i have a convertible same year, the only beat thing is my wife made me buy an automatic so she could drive it (i know, whipped, but married 20 yrs.). you can easily make your own cai for about 35.00, and it works great. there is a thread on do it yourself cai. it helped me, but i went one step further. i used a 3" flexible muffler pipe to make the connection (~14.oo at auto parts store) and a maf adapter with sensor openning (~12.oo at auto parts store). in addition, you will need to buy 2 silicone couplers (one 3"-3", and one 2.5"-3"). you will have to cut the tube back, but this method gives one single, flexible pipe to your throttle body. not to complicate matters, but i cut and bent a piece of sheet metal to make a heat shield. if you are interested, i could send more detailed info and pictures.

Congradulations on the new Mustang!

In terms of upgrades, there are many Cold Air Intake Kits available online, and quite a few under $100. *Remeber that although it may not look as cool, a plastic cold Air intake will decrease transferred heat from the engine.

Secondly would be to modify the exhaust. A flowmaster true deul setup will not only inmprove performance, but will also give your Mustang a nice tone, and improve the looks.

Increase the spark in your car with upgraded coil, wires and plugs.

I do not have an sftermarket underdrive pully... but have heard positive reviews.

As for looks.... I like to keep it true to the Mustang spirit with upgreaded rims... either 35th Anniversary GT rims ( available used on ebay from others who chose to change them out ) or Bullitt rims are aggressive and cool looking too.

Mach1 Chin spoiler is a cheap and subtle exterior mod, as is the Mach1 grill delete kit.

Other then that.... it truly is up to you and what look you are going for. Enjoy!
