well,
once i got a good bit of money saved up, i went out car shopping... at the time i wasnt mechanically educated and wasnt looking for anything in particular; but then i spotted this bright atlantic blue mustang eyeing me from across the lot, and that was it. lol. loved mustangs & fords ever since.

i shudder to think at what might have happened if there was a bowtie or an import that had caught me eye that day...

thats because you have a stock V6.
V6's have great potential, but arent anything to brag about when stock.

what 4-cylinder toyota was able to beat you ???

hubby was a chevy guy and i vowed i would make him a ford man and it was my dream car

started out that i had to have an 8cyl that was a 5 speed but then i saw my baby sitting in the yard of this log cabin and fell in love and that was all it took... she was the wrong color wrong motor but she was all mine.. ANd now i love her and would not change her for the world exp the mods i want to put on her.....

BTW at 18 my first car was a 1979 firebird that was purple with a 455 in it..i hated it because it wasnt a mustang

It was a newer 4 cylinder Camry..........a friggin' family car for goodness sakes, the lady was applying lipstick for goodness sakes at the same time. Meanwhile my piece of crap sounded like it was going to blow up, and was redlining LMAO............. Way to go huh?

I'm flat out disappointed.... everyone at work dogged me about my car when I got it because it was a V6. They were all like, your going to have drive train noises which I do, its going to vibrate....which...it does, its going to have shitty gas mileage........hmmm.....what a coinsidence.....and shitty resale value..... which I'm probably going to expect when I go to trade it in. WHY WHY WHY!!!! and no I dont have a giant money tree in my yard that I can dump thousands of dollars into this car to make it what its supposed to already be

a new camry?
are you sure it was a 2azfe 4 cylinder and not a 2grfe V6?
the 2grfe engine makes 225hp/240ftlbs.
and the fact that she was able to apply lipstick is irrelevant, if her camry is an automatic, which 95% of them are. if your car was automatic, you could have been putting on lipstick just as well. lol.

if your worried what everyone else thinks of your car, a stock V6 mustang is not going to the vehicle of choice.

just like most of us, you have a choice to make. either buy a faster mustang or mod your V6 into something respectable.
no matter how you do it, it costs money to go fast. but it doesnt take a money tree to stomp a V8.

It was a 4 banger engine in that car cause it sounded like all four cylinders do, I had my window down and thought someone was mowing and looked over and there was a nice brand new blue camry zipping past me like I was standing still, and the soccer mom inside with her Nancy Grace hair cut was applying lipstick and she just gave a friendly wave LMAO

the 2grfe doesnt exactly sound ferocious.

the only way you can tell the difference between the I4 and the V6 is if you lift the hood. dual exhaust is available on both models.

that being said, theres lots of new cars on the road today that you wouldnt think are quick because of their name, or because of who makes it.
dont give up hope.

I am a little late on this posting but that is okay. Got a Mustang because they are awesome. Wanted one when I was 16 but had to waited until I was 38. Plan on making some mods once I retire in a couple of years from the military.

Had a Ranger, BMW, and Tahoe 4x4 before I finally got the real car.

Don't bash Rangers! I had one too. It was my first car. Good old '95 with 214K miles.
As for the guy who thinks V6 Mustangs suck, you obviously are on the wrong forum. The 3.8 has plenty of bite to it if you know how to drive it.

lol I bought my '01 with a bit of mods done to it already, and I can say that it's SO MUCH FASTER than a regular v6. so far none of the other guys can get me on the road but I got mine for the girls and just the overall look, and the name. I remember getting the title and seeing MUSTANG with my name right next to it and just smiled for the longest time..

Besides 45 years of greatness, I grew up shoved in the back of several 69 mustangs by mom, several late sixty fairlanes and cougars from my dad.I guess it Seems like it was just bred into me, same with my brother, he's now a proud owner of a fox body 5.0. And i'm going to probably torment my children the same way no over elaborate caravan for them!
