I turned 16 and I really really wanted a mustang but couldn't find a decent looking one for cheap at the time so I bought an eclipse gsx turbo for 6k and loved it. I always wanted a mustang but could never find a cheap one around me which I liked and knew I couldn't afford gasoline. One day my dads secretary was selling a v6 for 2,000ish but the exterior was bad and seats/interior were torn. I sold my eclipse and bought the stang and put some into fixing it up and now I'm mustang obsessed
When I was really young my dad had a 1972 Mustang Grande with a 351 cleveland in it and then later on my mom had a 1998 mustang and with me being around the stangs I started to fall in love with them. When it was time to get a car all I wanted was a mustang so I worked a couple summers and bought one never had anything but mustangs since.
I grew up around the block from a Ford dealership. My friend and I would ride our bikes up there and look at the new Mustangs. One time, one of the salesmen grabbed the keys and let us sit in one. I always swore I'd have one.

I just thought it was a very sexy looking car, and I always loved the look, and I knew I was just going to fall in love, even before the test drive.

Well i've always loved Mustangs, my dad is a Ford guy so i wanted to stick to tradition. Mustangs are beautiful cars and are the best car in it's price range in my opinion.
I grew up around them. My mom had a 78, a fox body GT and then a 4 cylinder LX fox (the years escape me at the moment). There were tons more sprinkled throughout my family as well, so I had plenty of time to become obsessed. Once I started driving, I just never was in the right place either financially or need wise to get one so I had a pretty broad range of cars and trucks, but I finally landed mine a couple weeks ago as an early 24th B-Day present to myself, and I can honestly say I'll never own any other model.
I like a rear wheel drive manual, made in America (if there is such as thing) car. Had a 95 and 98 camaro and needed a new car in 03. No camaro so I got the stang and have not been disappointed except for the stupid ECU and its slow rpm decay rate.
Last time my wife and I had a red '88 Boss Mustang (GT) and loved it then sold after 8 years. I missed it more than she did for a while till I saw the '05 models popping up that made me so droolin' over it for a good while.
Our Jeep Grand Cherokee limited broke down almost two months ago... it costs too much for us to fix them right away so it forced us to buy a new car.
We discussed and looked a lot then realized that it's indeed a good time to buy a Mustang so we did buy a 2008 Mustang v6 Deluxe... a best deal we ever had, eventually.
I was like that white guy with a jumbo drink staring at his shiny black car all day and night without moving at all which was shown on TV commercial!
That guy would be Tony Stewart and the car is a Corvette.
Having said that I know the feeling. Every time something new goes on my car I just have to sit back and bask in the beauty that is a New Edge Mustang.
