I am in the market for some new wheels for my 99 (the stock 3-spokes don't cut it anymore). I found a nice set of 17" Gunmetal Bullitts, for a good price, and wanted to know if I'd need to pick up spacers for them to fit. I've seen Bullitts on 99-04 Mustang before and know its possible, I'm just not sure if I'd need spacers to get the perfect fit...?
Thanks

Unless you want to put the wheels, out another .5" - 1" at all 4 corners for better handling no. They'll go on with no problems. I put 1" spacers on my 96 SVT Cobra, with 18" wheels for handling purposes only. Also lowered 1.5", handles like its on rails plus you get that wider look, Mike. SCT Tuner.
^The offset on the rims are different though... The car will have a very tucked in look if he does not put on wheel spacers. It is amazing how much a half an inch will make a difference.
I have done this on a 94 V6 car, you can get away with a 1/4" spacer I bought mine from O'reilleys for I think around $20 a set but they will rub at full lock just slightly, you could probably use the 1" ones but I personally think it makes it look too outset, but it would keep it from rubbing I think,Anyway, they will work and it will make the car look great.
yeah... i tried test-fitting a set of the 2006 17x8 bullitts on my car today and i am going to need to throw some 1" spacers on... just wanted to let anybody know who's looking to do the same thing to a 99-04.

shitt! i just brought stock rims off 06 gt.. i drive a 99v6..
its the same bolt pattern but different offset and back spacing??
will they rub? and re you buying spacers for just rear?
yea... i tried em out and they do rub in the front with the wheel cut to either side. to get them to fit properly you'd need one inch spacer in the front and in my opinion, 1" spacers is gonna throw off the tracking of the car especially at speed and won't be as structurally sound as the stock setup.
im avoiding this and buying bullitts built for the 99-04. that is gonna set me back like $900 with wheels tires and lugs from american muscle.
