I generally left mine off when I was driving around town, but if you are going to be reaching higher speeds turn it back on. Mine would shift in and out of o/d while i was just driving around at 40mph on the street so I just got in the habit of turning it off.

your o/d is your highway gear in your case the 4th gear in your transmission, im not sure when it kicks in because i drive a manual, but i say leave it on unless u are towing something you will get better gas mileage that way.

I've been told to keep the OD on unless you are in hilly terrain or going to pass someone. You will get better mpg but poor throttle response with it on.

well yea because the o/d is geared higher then 3rd gear so if you are in o/d you get better mpg, if you stay in 3rd your rpms will be higher so you accelerate better, just leave it on, if you need to get up a hill or you are going to tow something then turn it off

quick question about overdrive. when you are racing from a stop should you turn it off? or just turn it off after you get going? or just leave it on all the time for normal driving and racing?
