umm, i know with the gts the rear end gears will help a lot...im not to sure how the v6s do with lower gears...im sure someone on here will tell you that...

a cai will be nice....
headers would be nice...
a o/r mid pipe would be nice...

all of those are pretty cheap...maybe heads in the near future depending on ur budget...

D.I.Y: C.ai. tb/pleum and a manifold. You engine will run and breath better.
At the shop: Gears, 4:10's for Auto 3.73 for man.
Please dont do the dual exhaust UNLESS your gonna do it right I laugh out loud in sold weather when i see a 6er with "dual" exhaust only putting out exhaust on 1 side.

If you plan to do headers you should look into mufflers as well, too much compression=no good. You could be chaing your mufflers around if they cant handle the compression. Plus headers wont do(excuse the language) crap if your engines starving for air.

?

for a stock engine, upgrading headers and TB is useless, they both flow plenty well enough.
our "plenums" are built into the upper intake manifold, not replaceable.

my suggestion would be gears/tlock and a split port swap.

I'm curious, whats the difference between a v6 bumper and a gt bumper on a 94-98?

go with a C.A.I american muscle has one for cheap. Then depending on where you want to go gears might not be a bad idea, though If you want to add a supercharger or a turbo later it might not be a bad idea to get a GT rear end.

im 19 and ive done a **** load to my mustang but its a 5.0 of course but neways..the body upgrading is definately a plus.. i got a friend thats done some work on his, hes got a 94 v6 mustang... If its a manual install a short shifter..It will help if you wanna race specially if your going to mod the engine. CAI is helpful. Underdrive pulleys(my friend said he noticed a nice increase of power just from that and the cold air alone). Upgrading gears will definately make your acceleration alot better. but will kill your gas milage....Unforunately there isnt a whole lot of engine modifications for the v6,unless of course u work your ass off all summer like ive done and then you prolly could afford a supercharger, idk if they make a turbo kit for a 6. You prolly could get your heads polished and ported to gain some power that way. Just a few ideas for ya.

Once the car is sorted out maintenance wise, I'd start shopping for a split port swap. Thats the best bang for the buck mod a 94-98 can do.
