Default 1999 v6 dual exhaust sounds like crap

It might have more to do with the O/R pipes (No cats). Typically flowmasters are silent if your not under acceleration. So sounding like crap is probably either A) a defect/hole in the muffler from whatever cause or B) A sound your not used to not having cats. It doesn't change the noise as much as the mufflers and mid pipe, but it does change the noise some

no cats on a v6 makes it more raspy and poppy, not really desireable to me...

+1 on no cats you could try the high flow cats that would be better than stock and give a better sound

i have flowmasters 40's with seperate pipes for each bank sound great, like everyone said you need your cats or the sound is horrible, if setup right at idle a v6 can sound like a GT, like mine i was at a stoplight and the guy in a GT next to me wanted to race and i said no, he was like you have a v8 right i was like sorry dude its a v6. so a v6 can sound pretty close to a v8
