Post V6 Exhaust Sounds Magnaflow VS- MAC

V6 Exhaust Sounds Magnaflow -VS- Mac.
People was asking about the sounds of the Mac Quasi Dual and the Magnaflows. I recorded the sound with the camara at 24 inches away and with the volume sensitivity turned down. These vids are 1 minute long at about 1.7megs in size each. You may need to adjust your speakers I was trying to compensate for the bass on the camera because it was getting distorted. you may need to turn the bass up.
This was recorded on a sony CD mavica camera. it's does not have the best mik around. all the recordings was done about a minute apart.
BTW if anyone else has recordings please post them here.

Isn't this test a little biased? I mean if all that you are doing on the mac system is the system alone, and the magnaflow system has headers, gt take offs, etc. its bound to give a better sound. Now the true test would be to take two systems and run them off the exact same set up. For example, if you use the headers on one system, use them on the other. I declare shennanigans on this experiment! lol

GReat clips Silver!

REvmaynard, i'm sure Silver would take the time to uninstall and install headers for us to here what each sounds like. lol good clips!

Both of them sound pretty deep, but when revved up it doesn't sound as deep as i thought it would.

I was asked to let someone hear the difference between doing a full exhaust vs just adding a quasi dual.
I am actaully working on doing a full exhaust on the one with the quasi dual, and dynoing it before and after the swap to see if there is a difference.
For the swap I will be using the mac headers, and Mac H-pipe with cats, and I will dyno the car with the Flowmaster GT cat back and the Magnapack GT cat back. I also will put restricters to narrow the pipes down to 1.75inch on each side, just to see what the effect will be. My only problem is that it's going to be alot of work, and I have little help. And it's going to cost me a bit.

Well, you gonna remember. A V6 doesn't have as much pressure as a V8 does. However, i think a dualed out v6 with dumps would sound good.

I am just playin silverstang. All V6's I do so believe will sound riced out above 3k RPM. Who cares, when you're at a light is when most people notice anyway. I've had my car at 3k and higher going under a bridge, and it still has a good sound echoing froim what I hear as I go through them. Its still a lower tone than most rice though. I've heard a few ricers that sound like my car at high RPM and sound very sweet at low RPM. But when its 3k RPM and lower they are beefy sounding systems, the mac quasi that is.

The last quasi I heard, on my uncle's truck, (Came off Y-Pipe into a Flowmaster Muffler and dualed frm there.) sounded just like a Civic w/ a fart can on it.
