Lowering your car will deffinately make your car scrape more regardless of the stiffness. Typically when you get a larger diameter wheel you reduce the aspect ratio of the tire so your overall diameter stays about the same. Therefore you wont be gaining 2'' of height. If you stay with the same ratio you will gain back the height. However adding 2'' bigger wheels only gives you 1'' of height because it is 1'' all the way around not 2'' all the way around. Are you really going to make this decision based on the speed bumps at your buddy's house? I can't go over speed bumps either but the car looks and handles great so I am leaving it that way.

I installed Roush lowering springs on my '00 convertible when I had my 17" Cobra-Rs on & I was constantly scraping (even over moderate sized undulations & shallow driveways). It wasn't til I upgraded to 20" rims that the scraping finally stopped. Of course rims of this size will have a definite impact on performance because of their additional weight, but that isn't a major concern of mine right now. Especially since I haven't upgraded my Gears+TLOC yet.

From what i heard i believe 2in drop is a lil much. I would prolly go with a 1.5in drop instead and you could find all kind of springs at American Muscle
