im planning on getting my 01 sixer tinted

should i get it tinted and if so which windows??(all or just the back)

but i will do all the window tho jus not that dark maybe a lil dark to u cant c in at night but it has to be visible

ive got 35% all around and i think it looks good. dark enough to make a difference but light enough that the cops shouldnt mess with you

Yeah I've also got 35% all around. I would've gone with 20% or 15-ish, but my parents didn't want me to risk making it illegal. So they settled for 35 all around, which is still illegal for the front in VA....so I don't understand why I couldn't go darker since I was illegal anyways....parents...

i got 15% on my rear window( cant see anything from the outside in or from inside out day or night jk lol) and about a 25 or 30% on the side windows ..im not sure....they are light enuff to see movement inside the car during the day but dark enuff to not make out faces.....at night you cant see anything at all ......and cops wont mess with you...atleats they dont with me ...... and if they do ....you got a mustang lol....RRUNNNNNNNNN!!!!!

what i dont understand is getting pulled over for tinted windows by a cop with darker tint on his cruiser than youve got. i see them with %20 all the time

idk but when i had my integra with lighter tints i used to get stop all the time and get my car searched lol for no reason and their excuse was my tints were too dark ...but since i got my stang...my tints are wayyyyyy darker but havent gotten stop yet.... or for my HIDs

I understand your concern. There are cops here in Chesapeake that have the new unmarked Chargers, and their tint is darn near impossible to see through. But there's a method to the madness. Their LED lights are inside the car, and the tint keeps the lights hidden until they come on (by then it's too late ).

Also, the reason cops don't like tinted windows is because they can't see what you're doing in your car while they walk up to write a ticket. It's a big safety thing (especially here in VA). We're only legally allowed to get 50% on the front.

i havnt had any trouble yet here in virginia with my 35%. i usually have my windows down anyway unless its really hot or cold. im from massachusetts and the limit there is 35% all around i believe but every state police cruiser there has 20% all around but the windshield, even their marked cars.

Yeah I haven't had trouble with my 35 all around either. A few people I know have really low (like 5% and 12%) and they've never had problems. So I don't think I'll ever get busted for it. Depends on the cop though. I've ridden with one that was really picky about tint. (Ride-along, I was not arrested )

I think California's tint laws are bit stricter and since you are a black guy so it might be smarter to stick within the law... put tints all on except light front, maybe.

I plan to tint mine soon... my state, Florida limits 15% all over except the driver window and front at 30%.

Yes, I have seen many cars around have darker tints than the FL law requires though. Yet I'm not too sure as if it's rather lax here, I hope lol... would live to tint my driver side with 15% - 20% instead of 30%. That's what ponders me still.
