Ok i'm not trying to brag up my car or anything like that but i have raced a few GT's and all i have is a drop in K'N filter and the most i have lost by is 2-3 car lengths that in my head is not very much in my head and i know losing is losing but still the way some of u are making it sound v6 stangs are no competition at all and i dont think its true so i guess thats my .02 cents. PS. im not trying to put GT's down i know my place in the car world and im a step below.
Don't worry too much about him... He thinks that anytime someone says V6 and V8 in the same thread that they are calling the V8 slow... He thinks his GT is fast... I showed him a thread showing V6's with bolt-ons and their times and he called me a liar.
A stock GT is not fast. Not even close to being fast. Sorry to disappoint people...
This pissing match gets a little old. They are the same car with a few differences. I would rather have a V6 than a GT any day. I think they are underpowered and overweight. At least the Cobra has some power to back it up as well as an actual nice engine compared to the 2v... (I will get flamed now) lmao
Hey im not gonna flame you...
Lemme just say to you that im sorry that you got a V6 stang and not a GT or other V8 stang. Cause the way you talk it shows how much you regret getting your V6.
Hey but please dont stop because I look forward to the V6 owners' next post where they say this Lol: "Yesterday I killed a cobra and a with only a CAI and a TUNE!!!!!!...IN MY V6 WOOOHOOO" That would be sooo awesome to see some cobra owners having to read that.
And just remember if a V6 puts on full boltons and a GT put on mild boltons well uhhh.... Umm Okay im not gonna say it I dont want anymore infraction points LOL....

and thanks for the illustration of our V6's at the bottom of the "food chain".
we definitely needed that, here, on the V6 forums...
Glad I could be of assistance LMAO... I am just keeping the cycle alive because when I used to own JUST a V6 and used to post stuff I'd get flamed all the time by the GT owners...
But LOL now that Im one of em well I feel I gotta give you sixers a hard time every now and then... I dont know why but its soo funny seeing you sixers come back with all your little mad responses "oh my six cylinder with my 200 shot of nitrous would take you anyday." "Oh why dont you come meet me when I have so and so's GT500"
I mean seriously get over it and a get a V8 Stang!
IM OUTTA HERE CAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS ARE GETTING PISSY... LOL NO SERIOUSLY I SWEAR I WILL NOT ADD ANYTHING MORE TO THIS THREAD BECAUSE I SAID WHAT I NEEDED TO SAY QOUTE ME ON IT! WOOHOO +1

nobody is challlenging your GT with "so and so's GT500".
if a 6-shooter was built up to be able to handle a 200shot, it would absolutely embarass your GT.
also, nobody ever ever EVER said their V6 would take a GT with only a cai&tune,
( i double-checked)
we all realize it takes a bit more than that.
and i think i speak for 99.99% of us when i say we do NOT regret buying our V6 'stangs.
where exactly is it written that in order to have a fast car it has to be a V8?
i've been trying to debate the subject with you in a civilized manner but it seems you'd rather just bash the 6's and the people who drive them...
Hmm... If that's the case I wonder why my buddy with his 2006 4.0L V6 with full bolt ons(no nitrous) and an automatic transmission gets its ass handed to it ALL THE TIME by me with my 2003 GT mustang and this was when I was stock (since then I have added the 3 mods that you see in my signature).... Get over it V6s dont hang with GTs its no comparison V8 and V6... Unless your talking about like Nissan/Infiniti's V6s yea I know its sad that their V6s have the HP of our V8s but thats just the way it is I dont hate V6s I own one look at my sig but trust me my V6 and my buddies V6 is NO NO NO match for my GT I'll prove it any day.
The only way I could see my V6 beating my GT is like what 232-K7 said by adding a shot of Nitrous and a supercharger... But other than that it wont happen.... Its just the way it is.
The mustang family is like a food chain and the V6 is on the bottom.
And here let this video burn into your mind because I show it too all V6 owners that think they're ready to take on a GT... THE NEWEST V6 MUSTANG CANT EVEN BEAT THE 1ST GEN SN95 GTs... So it is VERY VERY unlikely that an older 99-04 V6 can hang with a MORE POWERFUL SN95 New edge GT....
You do realize without the v6 (know where most of fords car sales come from?) there would BE no rest of the chain, ford would be going under like everyone else.
Second: Since it (v6) was not made to be fast I guess it should not be able to beat a sn95 gt stock for stock.
Third: I would rape your Gt all day of the week and twice on sunday.

Lol alright you sixers beat me into coming back into this tjhread I said that I wouldnt but I have to.... Damn...
The only reason your six cylinder would take my GT is because you have a freakin turbo or supercharger...HELLO.. Add a supercharger or a turbo or a small shot of nitrous to my GT and Id rape your little six cylinder 10 times a day and 20 times on sunday... LMAO unless you add hella money into your 6 cyl stock for stock and mod for mod YOU LOSE!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Alright I'll try to stay out of this post although I know it'll be hard once again quote me LOL...

theres another thing i dont get...
people are always comparing cars "stock-for-stock", or "mod-for-mod"...
there are no rules to abide by.
nobody is going to say, "alright, you add a 50-shot and i'll add a 50-shot and then we'll race. after that, you add 3.73's and i'll add 3.73's, then we'll race again."
everyone is going to mod their cars to the best of their ability.
if someone else does a better job of modding their car than you did, well then boo hoo get over it.
At least this debate is interesting. All I'm going to say is give me the difference in cash what the difference between the cost of a GT and V6 is, then tell me which car will win......
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just keep it clean so this thread can continue.
I too am enjoying this thread. I have to smile because i can see both sides of this debate. I understand a v8 guy being a little annoyed with the everyday v6 on the street, but i dont understand the hostility towards the experienced v6ers. From personal experience, some GT owners are a little too cocky. But do the pre05 gt drivers have the walk to back up the talk? 260 hp and 300 ftlbs isn't a whole lot to brag about. Sure, its more than my v6, but stock GTs only run low-mid 14's, depending if its an auto or manual. Stock 1/4 mile and 0-60 times - CarForums.net - Automotive Chat Forum
I look at that quite often, to compare times. I don't take those numbers to heart, but they are a good representation of what the car actually runs. By looking at that and what i have seen some stock 5.0s running, I am either beating them, or on their back bumper as they cross the line. Its not the 4.6 mod motor, but its a v8, so i felt it could be included.
Its all about the set up and what you can stuff under the hood. You can make anything fast with the right amount of knowledge, time, and money. But when it comes down to it, when you are lined up next to the guy at the traffic light or the tree at the strip, all you can do is....
Run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough.

Well said
I agree with you 1000000000% that you can make any car fast. Thats not what bothers me... What bothers me is that SOME V6 owners think that just by adding a CAI, Spark Plugs, UDPs and a Tune that they'll run quicker or "hang with" a 4.6L 99-04 GT when the NPI GTs(96-98) that have 215-225 HP can barely stay with the 99-04 GTs without a PI head swap.... And the I have personally seen the NPI GTs destroy new 05-08 V6 stangs....
I'm glad you saw my side of the debate and hopefully understand my frustration...
Alright Im outta here I dont think I belong in the V6 threads anymore LOL....

hmm...
i dont remember anyone ever saying that...
but hey people do get cocky...i personally witnessed a terminator absolutely destroy a little turd-nugget civic who was revving his engine at him at a stoplight one time.
people who have big egos and small brains will say & do some pretty ridiculous things...LOL.
PS. nobody said you had to leave the V6 threads. just quit stepping on our toes and try to get along with us .
