Let me just say to you 232-K7... THANK YOU for owning a V6 and being able to admit that a tune-up, some spark plugs, some UDPs and a CAI/TUNE(basic boltons), can't bring a V6 up to GT level Lol!
Kudos to you 232-K7!
And trust me and 232-K7 dude were just trying to give you the truth. I own both a V6 and a GT and trust me the performance on the 2 IS COMPLETELY different. Just dont wan't to have you believing a bunch of BS... But if you dont trust me and want to get embarassed go find a GT to race near you once you put in all your mods but dont say I didnt tell you so... Because the GT driver auto or 5-speed is going to kill your V6....
no so true i have basic bolt ons and i beat gts all the time at the drag strip (MY YEAR AND BELOW NOT 05 AND UP)
Lemme just say to you that im sorry that you got a V6 stang and not a GT or other V8 stang. Cause the way you talk it shows how much you regret getting your V6.
\
Wow. I feel sorry for you. I can tell by your insecurities that you regret not getting a Vette that could stomp your GT all day and so on and so forth.
Congrats for being the badass of the week on an internet forum.
Anyways, to the OP, don't be ashamed of your car or hinder doing anything you want to it. I'd probably start with a gears and lsd. You'll really feel the difference.

We must all remember the driver mod. I saw a 99-04 GT run 15.9 this past weekend. It was not a pretty site. He didn't know how to drive......
My car never ran that on a bad day.....
very true...
one of my friends has a stock 4-door chevy 02-04ish chevy pickup truck, and actually raced and beat an 07 corvette in an 1/8th LOL. on video. times were both a low 11.
needless to say it was a fluke and the outcome would have been much different with a different driver in the corvette.
perhaps dieselmonkey beat a GT once or twice due to certain circumstances, but to beat them all the time consistently, with his listed mods, is not believable.

Well said I agree 100% .

Isnt that what i previously stated all the way at the beginning of this forum. Not to many people have enough experience with they're cars. So being fast on the "street" isnt all that hard to do when facing against a gt of the same year with basic bolts on.

All of my experience I speak of is at the track. IMO, it only counts there anyway. It is a controlled environment with people who want to go fast.....

No you're the kind of weenie that believes that with spark plugs and a CAI that you can run a GT of the same year which is not true. I GUARANTEE 100% WITH YOUR MODS MY ALMOST STOCK GT I'LL SMOKE YOU AND YOUR LITTLE V6!
And please by all means quote me on that!

Mustang_220- Why do you think that your GT is fast?? I honestly wonder why you think it is fast?? Ask any person who has even a bit of car knowledge and they will tell you how slow it is...
You are wrong, I do not want a V8 unless it were to be a fully aluminum block V8. They are just too heavy and offset the weight balance too much. I could care less about straight-line power, handling is what I enjoy. I guarantee that I have more money into my suspension than twice what you paid for your mods. I would run circles around you at a road course. You would beat me at a 1/4 mile, something tells me that you do not care about road racing and I do not care about 1/4 mile racing...
I honestly wonder though, Do you know anything about your engine?? You talk about how awesome V8 Mustangs are but I do not think you know anything about the engines themselves... Anyone with engine knowledge will tell you about how bad the 2v sucks. My friend with 615rwhp in his 2v hates it... The engine flows horrible and he has so much money wrapped up into it. He is considering getting a 4v because the flow rates on the 4v make the 2v look retarded. The 2v motor just is not a good motor at all. It is the retard of the modular family.
I just do not understand why you have a chip on your shoulder... You keep throwing out all of these quotes that you say we type and they are not in evidence anywhere. We are not uneducated idiots reading a catalogue and spouting out random numbers. Most of us have at least twice the experience you do, most more... lol You are only 18 aren't you? Maybe you will mature a bit, doubt it but maybe the world will get lucky.
I will PM this to you as well, I am not sure if you will recheck this thread.
new edge GT's give the new Colbalt ss's a decent run. Though the Cobalt outruns it..
