city driving takes up more gas than highway. Mustangs only get about 17 or so city thats the problem driving on the highway more will solve the problem or at least a little bit of the problem
yea if you were mostly highway, you would probably get between 230-260 miles maybe more? But it wont hurt to do a small tuneup (clean maf, fuel system cleaner, air filter, fuel filter, tire pressure, etc)

yes above and change your driving hab(b)its.
slow down and drive. youll get there all in good time.
difference between going 75 and 65 on the highway is like 33% or something huge.
so taking it easy around town might not be a bad idea either.
in my 2.3 if i take the longer way to get where im goin(highway) i usually get more out of my tank.
and dont idle any longer than you have to. when i go to pick up my gf i turn my car off while i wait for her to come out cuz sometimes its 2 minutes and sometimes i wait like 15 minutes. if you think youre gonna be stopped for longer than a few minutes then shut'er off.
and drive with the windows down its summer time it aint 30 degrees anymore.
i usually knock down 230 in the city and 340+ on the highway. im workin on narrowing that gap. but i might just broaden it lol.
but id love to have a v6 for a DD.

This V6 gas mileage always brings up huge debates between everyone.
I am a firm believer that keeping up to date on your tune-up parts, keeping tire pressure proper, and driving half-way normal makes the most difference. I also think that lowering the car and using a free flowing intake and exhaust will help.
By doing those things I have had 2 V6 mustangs (one single, one split port), both have done over 30mpg highway and usually 19-21 in town. My 01 V6, just did its best about a month ago, knocking 35 mpg highway, doing 65 mph. At 70 mph it does 29-30, and 75 or higher will do 26/27 or worse.
But still there are a bunch of guys on here that can't do better then 15 mpg, and I don't know why.

i get an average 240 a tank, which is around 19 mph, with all the mods below. I drive all city and back country roads when i go to the gfs house. On the highway, at around 65-70, i get near 30 or so i believe. Tune ups are important in keeping high gas mileage numbers
