Default Problems with a VW

So today i was spirtidly going down one of my towns roads when all of a sudden some VW zooms past me(i believe it said GTI or RTI) anyways he was pretty fast. Im taking that it was because he was a turbo charged four banger that was a lot lighter than me but i have no idea what the specs are on that car. I eventually passed him but it took...a fair amount of time to say the least. We then got to a light and he left me like no other so i decided to just quit. Its an auto(I know its not "fast" but its still a fun car or atleast i think so)

Does anyone know if that car is supposed to be pretty quick? O and by the way at the light, the guy gave me a thumbs down so i preceded to flash the VW sign with my fingers AMERICAN MUSCLE! lol v6 and all!

It was a Volkswagon GTI. Depending on what model it was it had 180-200hp. Or there is a really special one that made 240hp. They are quick little cars and turning up the boost is easy on these little turbo 4 bangers. Not my type of car but still kinda cool.

Racing from a roll is kinda lame if you ask me. Import turbo guys like that cuz the turbo is already spinning and ready for the boost. from a dig it usually takes a second, and in racing sometimes thats all it takes.

srt4's are especially notorious for only wanting to race from a roll, their boost is electronically limited in 1st & 2nd.
from a roll, theyre already spooled up.

o ok lol ya it left me pretty quick, im pretty sure it was a special one cause it had some other letters before the GTI and it had a sporty like quad exhaust and rims. Ive seen the guy before but i think ill just let him speed past next time(it made me feel REALLY slow)

Yeah I know a kid who has a GTI, all done up, stroker kit, bigger turbo and whatnot. Its okay I guess its not really riced out too bad. Still turbo 4 bangers have always pissed me off because you can just turn up the boost and poof you get more power. For our cars it takes thousands of dollars to get them that fast.

But just remember at the end of the day he has a Golf and you have a Mustang.

For a minute there, I thought y'all were talking about my boy... cuz he's gotta a newer GTi! Yeah, they're pretty quick: 240 horses stock at the crank. And the lucky ******* just got a "malfunction" upgrade: his 2.0L motor crapped out; it was coverd by warranty; VW didn't have any stock motors, so they sent a hand-built, 2.3L motor; didn't fit the stock turbo, so they upgraded that too!! He's got like 260 to the wheels... Wish I could have an "accident" like that...

But they're not bad cars... not my style, but decent power and lightweight.

I would love to own one as a daily driver. I have never owned a fwd but I think they would be a fun one to own. They are decently quick stock and handle pretty damn well too. lol I like the styling as well, which is weird for me because I usually hate hatchbacks... They are a pretty comfortable and stable car overall.
