Angry DON'T EVER order tires from costco.com

I'm so pissed right now. On the 2nd of this month I ordered a full set of BFGoodrich g-force t/a kdw tires. On the website what drew me to them was the aggressive tread design that looked like some sort of tribal flames. Costco.com - Shop for Tires
I placed my order and I recieved shipping info the next day saying it costco shipped it that day so it would have arrived two days later on Friday. I eagerly awaited and i desperately needed new tires. So much to the point that it began to turn into a safety issue. I shouldn't have waited so long for them to get to that point in the first place but I just didn't have the money. Anyway, turns out Costco decided to wait a day later to actually send out the package to ups and it ended up getting delayed over the weekend. So I wait til Monday for it to come in. I use the tracking number and ups said it was delivered at 10:34 Monday morning to the tire center so I waited for them to call me for installation. Waited all day but no call. I understand that they must be busy with prior installations so I think nothing of it. Then the next day I called in the afternoon to check if it got in and they said that they'll call me when it arrives probably the next day. So the next day I wait and still no call. By Thursday, according to the tracking info provided by ups, the tires had been sitting at the tire center for four full days and I still did not recieve any call from them to let me know to come in a get them installed. So finally Friday, today, my dad calls them to ask when we can schedule an installation appointment and instead of the guy giving the usual we'll call you when we get the tires, he says that yes, they've been at the warehouse and that there is no appointment system, it's all on a first come first serve. So at this point I'm thinking, What the F*** have I been waiting for this whole time since I'm obviously not waiting for previous appointments to finish. Nobody even bothered to call me when the tires arrived. So finally i take my car in and after some issues authorizing the installation, I leave my car there and catch a ride home with my mom. About 2hours later i get the call that everything is finished and so I head back very excited to have my new tires. I get my keys back and head over to look for my car. As soon as I spot it I head over and the first thing I went to take a look at was the new aggressive styling that I ordered the tire for along with great performance. To my disgust, they didn't send me the right tire! 8 days of waiting and they didn't even send me the right fricken tire. Turns out they don't make the new tread design in my wheel size so they sent the same tire but with the traditional tread which looks half as good as the new tread and is not as good performance wise. So wtf costco? On their website it shows the tire with that specific new tread design only. And I chose it from a list of tires that showed up specific to my wheel size. So why am I now being told after the billing, shipping, and installation, that the new tread tire will not fit when it is the only picture of the tire on the website. Long post I know. I'm really pissed off at this point and needed to vent and let all of you know so none of you end up wasting your time on stupid bs like this. I'll never do business with these guys again.

Glad I saw this thread. I was thinking about getting the kid down the street some tires and Costco was the first place I thought of. Thanks for the info.

I feel for ya, but I never would have trusted a picture on a website for something that is this important to you.

the tires are the same model tire but i just got the traditional tread. after I had the time to cool down a bit (about 3 hours later) i went back outside and took a look at the tires. they're actually pretty nice looking and handle a lot better than my old ones. but i still would have prefferred the new tread design more.
i figured that a business as huge as costco would be more reliable in terms of advertising and customer service

I don't blame you for being upset. I would be, too. Good to hear you're somewhat happy with them, though. Have you contacted Costco about the issue?

I would bet money they have a disclaimer somewhere on that website that will say "picture may not represent what you buy" or something along that nature. Still sucks to not get what you were looking for no matter what.
