Question after market kit or muffler shop true duals?

I am debating on what I should get a after market kit or have a muffler shop do true duals which would be better and performance wise and price wise and what are good brands of mufflers?

I go for true duals with Flowmaster 40 series. That is what I have and they sound great.

Its easier for a muffler shop to fab you an H crossover dual exhaust rather than true duals.
Like said flows are good.

That makes no sense. How would it be easier to have to fabricate the H pipe than just running dual pipes from the cat section back? All you really have to do is cut the front y pipe right after the last cat and go from there. H pipes are of no use to these cars and I would go straight true duals if it were my choice.

It's easier because you just remove the Y pipe all together ather than cutting it. The nyou lose the rear cats, plus you can use the stock flanges and straight pipes. It is easier to fabricate but a good shop can do either way. Biggest difference I see is that not all shops can madrel bend pipe which helps flow a little. It is certainly cheaper for a muffler shop to do true duels and you can use whatever mufflers you want. That one is my choice.

Well, I can't speak for the aftermarket kits, but I went to a muffler shop. He cut off the y pipe right after the cats to make it a true dual. Then, flowmasters 40s and stainless steel tips. It cost me about $350. It sounds great, deep and loud, but not to the point that it's obnoxious. The performance is pretty good too.
